Campus Career Programs and WorkshopsJob Fair

All UWM alumni are welcome to attend Career Development Center-sponsored workshops and programs free of charge. The Career Development Center, located on campus in Mellencamp 128, has regular workshops on topics including “Introduction to Choosing a Major/Career,” “Researching Majors and Careers,” and “Improving your Interviewing IQ.” View upcoming workshops.

Online Workshops

The Career Development Center has an online workshop, “Using the Web to its Full Potential: the Art & Science of Job Search,” which provides alumni with a comprehensive overview of the job hunting process from preparation to goal setting through job search strategies and interviewing. Alumni in the middle of career change or job search challenges may find it particularly useful.

Career Courses

The downtown UWM Career Transitions Center (CTC) offers career courses both online and in-person to help alumni who are considering a new career path, wanting to brush up on their job search skills or striving to increase their current job effectiveness. UWM alumni receive a discount on many career courses. The UWM CTC is also open to those without a formal relationship to UWM and can provide a resource for non-UWM-affiliated alumni friends and family. The Center is located in downtown Milwaukee in the UWM School of Continuing Education. For more information about course offerings visit UWM Career Transitions Center, or call 414-227-3243.
