Third Annual Woody Herman Educational Jazz Workshop

The UWM Jazz Studies program hosts the third annual Woody Herman Educational Jazz Workshops for middle (November 5) and high school (November 6) jazz ensembles and a College Jazz Festival (November 7). Students will participate in clinics, master classes and full ensemble sessions; special activities for ensemble directors.
Public events include:
November 6, 2009, 9:30 pm-1 am: A jazz gig at the Jazz Estate, 2423 N. Murray Ave., on Friday, November 7, 2009, from 9:30 pm-1 am. Jim Pulice and several UWM artists will perform as the Woody Herman All Stars. (Cover applies.)
November 7, 2009
7:30 pm: Concert with UWM Youth Jazz Ensembles I & II, and the UWM and UW-Madison Jazz Ensembles with special guest percussionist Joe Pulice. Tickets: $10 general/$7 students, seniors & UWM alumni, faculty & staff. (Bader Concert Hall)
