DRIVING
NOTE: The routes listed below are generally clear, but there is some ongoing road construction in the area that may impact your route into the city. I encourage you to check www.mchange.org for an update before you travel to Milwaukee in March 2007.

The Scenic Route to Campus
Take I-43 or I-94.
Near downtown take I-794 (goes east to the lake).
Take Lake Front Exit, following it north along the lake to N. Lake Drive and E. Kenwood Blvd.
Follow Kenwood Blvd. west to campus.

From the South
Take I-94 until it joins I-43.
Then take I-43 north to the Locust Street exit.
Go east on Locust to Maryland Avenue.
Then north on Maryland to the campus.

From the North
Take I-43 south to the Capitol Drive East exit.
Go east on Capitol to Maryland Avenue.
Then south on Maryland to the campus.

From the West
Take I-94 east until it joins I-43.
Go north on I-43 to the Locust Street exit.
Go east on Locust to Maryland Avenue.
Then north on Maryland to the campus.

PARKING
Plan to bring lots of dollar bills and a ton of change! Parking is available in a variety of ways around campus and the Kenilworth complex, and in most cases not free.

Metered Parking
There is city-controlled meter parking on streets around the campus. They start at 1-hour parking closest to campus, and increase to 2, 3, etc., -hour parking as you get further away from campus. Street meters run .25/hr. They also chalk tires, so parkers beware!
Street metered parking is FREE on Sundays, as well.

Campus Surface Lots
There is parking available in some of the surface lots on campus, the closest one being behind the Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts. There are meters and a pay station, where you punch in your space number, and then pay (cash only) according to how long you are going to be there. Again, please read the posted signs for when you can park there and when you cannot. Parking is usually available after 3pm on weekdays.

Parking is available all day on all campus surface lots on Saturdays. You need to pay at the pay stations.

Parking is FREE on all campus surface lots on Sunday.

Union Parking Structure
This may be your best bet for parking during the conference. It is close to all of the buildings on campus where ACDF activities are happening. It is a pay-as-you-exit, so you do not need exact change. The normal fee is $1/hour up to $9. Enter off of west-bound on E. Kenwood Blvd.

There is a flat fee for the Union Parking Structure of $4 on Saturdays.

Parking in the Union Parking Structure is FREE on Sundays.

Pavillion Parking Structure
This is a new parking structure on the north side of campus (approx. 3 blocks north of Mitchell Hall) that has metered parking within it. You'll need dollar bills and coinage for these spots.

Parking in the Pavillion Parking Structure is FREE on Sundays.

Kenilworth Square East Complex (1 mile south of campus)
There are approx. 50 public spaces in the Kenilworth Parking Structure. The charge is .40/hour, and you enter from Farwell Ave. There is also metered street parking in that area that is pretty decent during the day. At night forget it!

In general, allow yourself some extra time to find a parking space and to get to the building where you want to be.

NOTE: Residential Parking
Avoid parking on residential side streets that do not have posted parking signs and rules. Residents pay for the privilege of street parking in Milwaukee, and they guard their streets space diligently. You may get ticketed and possibly towed, so be conscious of where you park.
