FILM / VIDEO / NEW GENRES

 

The Film/Video/New Genres Track of the BFA degree in Film is weighted toward production in film, video, and new media integrated with courses in conceptual studies that emphasize the intersection of theory and practice.

The following outline will serve as a guide in planning a major in Film (Film/Video/New Genres Track). Students are encouraged to consult regularly with their PSOA and departmental advisors throughout their studies at UWM. All course waivers or changes in the requirements of the major must have the written approval of the Department Chair.

PORTFOLIO REVIEW top
Students are admitted to the Film Major as a result of a portfolio review that occurs upon completion of 24 credits of work. The portfolio consists of final projects from two Pre-Portfolio Studios. Portfolio reviews occur once at the end of each semester.
