Fine Arts 211 Time Space
An introduction to temporal and spatial structures as applied to art practice.

Fine Arts 311 Spatial Interactivity
An introduction to the creation of interactive spatial installation and sculptural works. Students will work with sensors, video, audio and kinetic elements to create interactive systems.

Fine Arts 313 Programming for Artists
An introduction to principals of computer programming languages. Including areas of application and significance both in general and for use by artists within a variety of contexts. Students will work with Java and C++

Fine Arts 315 Scripted Interactivity
An introduction to the production and evaluation of screen based interactivity. Techniques can include Flash Action Scripting, Lingo, Javascript, DHTML, etc.

Art 317 3D Imaging
An introduction to 3D drawing and rendering software application tools for designers and artists. 3D drawing from concept or sketch through presentation and basic animation is presented in a studio context.

Fine Arts 319 Gizmology
An introduction to concrete computing for artists, including robotics, interactive systems, basic programming, and soldering/assembly. Emphasis will be on the production of object oriented art works.

Fine Arts 351 Digital Media Workshop: Motion Graphics
A short-term, concept oriented workshop in digital media. Retakable with topic change to 6 cr max.

Fine Arts 407 DIVAS Forum
Students explore contemporary issues, engage in peer critique, view and evaluate local and regional exhibitions and performances while building programmatic community. Course may be retaken for up to six total credits.

Fine Arts 411 Time Space
Advanced temporal and spatial structures as applied to art practice.

Fine Arts 510 DIVAS Senior Project
Individual production projects in DIVAS facilitated by critiques, work sessions, technical demonstrations tailored to student needs and preparation for public presentation or exhibition.

Production of and historic exploration of motion design as applied to film, video and web.

Fine Arts 553 Digtal Media Seminar: Security
An exploration of multidisciplinary notions of security through readings, discussions and visual projects. Final projects will be presented in Conjunction with CIE Global Security Conference.
