  university Band

The University Band is one of UWM’s most exciting performing ensembles, primarily comprised of non-music majors who wish to further their playing experience during their college careers. University students from all academic disciplines, including music, are represented in the University Band. University Band enables students to earn valuable college credit and perform challenging music while taking a break from the rigorous studies of college life. Membership in the University Band is open to all graduate or undergraduate UWM students. Non-music majors can earn two GER credits for participating in University Band.

There are no auditions for membership.

University Band rehearses three hours per week: Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30. Music majors receive one credit for University Band. Non-music majors can register for two credits. All rehearsals are held in Room 280 of the Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts.
