UWM Women’s Chorus

The UWM Women’s Chorus is made up of outstanding music majors and singers from many other academic areas with extensive musical background and experience. The women sing a wide variety of both sacred and secular choral music in all styles and genres, specializing in the performance of the wonderfully diverse repertoire written especially for women’s voices. The 1999-2000 academic year was the inaugural year for the Women’s Chorus, and UWM is proud to offer its outstanding women student this superb performing organization for their personal enrichment and musical fulfillment. The Women’s Chorus regularly performs large choral masterworks with the UWM Concert Chorale, University Choir, and Symphony Orchestra. Membership is competitive and is obtained by audition and instructor permission. Auditions take place the first week of each semester.
