The first Wisconsin Flute Festival is scheduled to take place in the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts on the UWM campus on March 9, 2008. The day features a variety of events for flutists of all ages and abilities, as well as for lovers of flute music. Stop in for a few hours or stay the whole day!
- Recital and Master Class with Chicago Symphony Principal Flute Mathieu Dufour
- Recital and Master Class with Cleveland Orchestra Solo Piccolo Mary Kay Fink
- High school flute competition with $250 first prize
- Performances by Caen Thomason-Redus, Nan Raphael, Mihoko Watanabe and alumni of the UWM flute program
Plus: Flute Choir, Alexander Technique, Trevor Wye Books Class, Online Learning Environments & Exhibitors
