Lubar School Welcomes SAP Faculty from Around the World
Over 150 faculty from around the globe are participating in this week’s SAP faculty training workshops at the Lubar School of Business. The workshops provide “train-the-trainer” oriented sessions that introduce faculty to SAP functionality as well as best practices for successful classroom use. Professors from SAP University Alliances Program member schools are attending the program, now in its eighth year at UWM.
New to the program this year is a course on SAP Mobile Development, which attracted many of the international faculty, including individuals from Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada. The course is being taught by two members of the School’s highly regarded Information Technology Management faculty. Dave Haseman serves as Director of the Lubar School’s SAP University Competence Center and is the IBM Professor of IT Management. Ross Hightower officially joins the Lubar faculty this fall as a Lecturer in IT Management and Associate Director of the SAP UCC.
Additional topics include SAP Business ByDesign, analytic applications, and data warehousing.
“Faculty leave with advanced knowledge and high-quality, downloadable course materials needed to create SAP-specific content for their courses,” said Haseman.
The Lubar School’s University Competence Center (UCC) is only one of five throughout the world. The center provides SAP hosting services and technical support to universities that participate in the University Alliance. Currently, the center hosts 122 universities. SAP is the world’s largest business software company.
