Economist Feldstein to Provide Economic Outlook at Bradley Series

Martin Feldstein, George F. Baker Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will discuss “The Economic Outlook in the U.S. and Europe” at the Bradley Distinguished Lecture Series this Thursday, October 4, 2012.  The luncheon event takes place from 12 noon-1:30 p.m. at the University Club, 924 East Wells Street.

The Bradley Series is sponsored by the Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation.

Feldstein will provide insights into the weak economic recovery in the United States and discuss prospects for the year ahead.  He will also examine the Eurozone crisis and the policies that European governments are pursuing.

In addition to serving on the faculty of Harvard University, Martin Feldstein is President Emeritus of the National Bureau of Economic Research, which he led from 1977-82 and 1984-2008.  From 1982 to 1984, Feldstein was Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers and President Reagan’s chief economic advisor.
