CEAS Glory L2 Deans Office

Dean's Industrial Liaison Council

Develop a mutually beneficial relationship between the college and the businesses and industry of Wisconsin in support of the college’s primary mission: to provide world-class education, research, and services and act as a catalyst for economic development with a focus on the diverse needs of Southeast Wisconsin.

  1. Improve responsiveness of the college to the following needs of business and industry: Qualified Graduate Engineers, Engineering Employment Development, Consulting Support and Collaborative Research.
  2. Identify and develop areas of education, consulting practice, research excellence and technology transfer that provide the greatest overall benefit to the businesses and industry and the college.
  3. Foster greater and more productive involvement of business in the day-to-day educational programs of the college to enrich the overall educational process and the quality of the graduates.
  4. Expand investment in the college from the private sector, personal and corporate, through programs that provide attractive returns to investors while funding activities that help CEAS to achieve its goal of becoming a Top 50 College.

To carry out this mission, the ILC has formed four operating committees, each with its own chair, focus and objectives:

  1. Student Engineer Development Committee
  2. Consulting and Cooperative Research Committee
  3. Continuing Employee Education and Development Committee
  4. Membership Growth and Investment Committee
