Director of Marketing/Assistant Dean

The College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks a Director of Marketing, who serves as Assistant Dean. This position reports to the Dean of CEAS and is responsible for developing and managing the brand (web, print, social media) for the college, and developing and managing the outreach activities for the college in collaboration with the institutes, consortia, centers and departments of the college. The Director of Marketing oversees the design, development, and execution of a comprehensive external communications strategy using multiple formats and media; evaluates, recommends, and deploys cutting-edge technologies that support CEAS’s marketing and communications goals; manage and direct all aspects of the production of all college and communication pieces; responsible for the planning, management, and execution of a comprehensive set of outreach programs. Required qualifications include a B.S. in Marketing or Communications or related field, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, strong technical abilities, strong leadership and organization & interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in academic environment, strategic marketing planning, branding development and Social media experience, event planning and promotion experience, a proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse group of professional colleagues. This position is a full-time 12-month renewable limited appointment position. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
