Forensic Science is the application of science to legal matters. It is a true multi-disciplinary field that integrates basic science, social science, and law. The Center for Forensic Science has brought together the expertise of many professionals in the field of forensic science from both the community and from several disciplines on campus to establish a unique academic program.
The Departments of Anthropology (College of Letters and Science), Chemistry (College of Letters and Science), BioMedical Sciences Program (College of Health Sciences) and Criminal Justice Programs (Helen Bader School of Social Welfare) in affiliation with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office and Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory in Milwaukee have established a multi-disciplinary core curriculum with an opportunity to specialize in the areas of Death Investigation, Forensic Science, and Forensic Toxicology.
