Thank you for your interest in our graduate program in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). The best time to start thinking about your application process is at least one year before your anticipated graduate program start date.

 How do I request a CSD graduate program information and admissions packet?

Who is eligible to apply?
To be considered for admission, an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in this major is required. Students may be admitted with not more than two course deficiencies. Examples of required courses sometimes deficient include: aural (re)habilitation, statistics, speech science. International applicants must have demonstrated proficiency with the English language.

How often are applicants reviewed?
Our graduate admissions committee reviews applicants only once each year. Students are only accepted for summer or fall term start dates.

What is the application deadline?
The completed on-line application with Reasons statement, application fee, official transcripts, and list of remaining course work (if applicable) must be submitted to the Graduate School by January 1 prior to the start date. Two official transcripts are needed from each college-level institution you attended. These should be sent to the UW-Milwaukee Graduate School, PO Box 340, Milwaukee, WI 53201-0340. Applicants who do not meet the January 1st deadline are not considered.

What else must I do to apply?
You also need three letters of recommendation (no special form required unless you are a UWM student); Graduate Record Examination (GRE) results; and your Fall term grade report (if applicable). These must be received by the department not later than January 31. Applicants who have not met the January 31st deadline for submitting these items will not be considered.
