She serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Bioethics, Department of Health Law, Bioethics, and Human Rights at the Boston University School of Public Health, which has repeatedly named her one of its highest-rated teachers. Tomorrow’s Tests: Forces Reshaping 21st Century Health Care Although the U.S. health care system is always in a state of flux, several forces are combining to produce truly significant change. Demographic shifts, changing public attitudes, challenges to traditional funding mechanisms, the increasing politicization of health policy, changes in the work force, more emphasis on the quality of care, and emerging technologies will make for a much more turbulent but also potentially more rewarding future for the health care industry, those who work within it, and its patients.
