Assistant Professor

Stephen Cobb

Interests and Expertise
Etiology, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of lower extremity athletic injury. Specific interests include the investigation of the effect of foot structure as a contributing factor to acute and chronic lower extremity injury and interventions aimed at improving foot function. Ongoing studies include the investigation of: the relationship between foot structure and postural stability; the effect of functional foot orthosis intervention on postural stability; development and application of a multi-segment foot model to the investigation of the effect of foot structure on gait kinematics and kinetics; application of a multi-segment foot model to the investigation of the effect of functional foot orthoses on gait kinematics and kinetics.
