Interests & Expertise

Dr. Mazurek is new to the UWM Doctor of Physical Therapy program, joining full-time in 11/2013. She will primarily be assisting in the clinical education component of the program as well as teaching in the areas of healthcare administration, ethics and radiology. Prior to her work at UWM, Dr. Mazurek worked for 13 years in private practice in a PT owned outpatient orthopedics & sports medicine clinic. Her specialty areas are orthopedics, women’s health and wellness. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mazurek has been an adjunct faculty member in the t-DPT program at A.T. Still University since 2008. She is a Credentialed Clinical Instructor through the APTA. She is licensed in the State of Wisconsin (1996 – present) and is a member of the APTA. It is anticipated that her future area of research will include research in clinical learning and effectiveness of various types of clinical learning opportunities.
