Robert Ricigliano is the Director of Institute of World Affairs at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee where he teaches International Mediation and Negotiation through the Department of Communication. Mr. Ricigliano has trained aid workers in Afghanistan, worked with political parties in the new Iraqi Parliament, assisted the peace process in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and has been involved in peacebuilding interventions in Russia, Georgia, Colombia, South Africa, and elsewhere. He has written numerous articles on peace processes and negotiation. He served as Executive Director of the Conflict Management Group and Assistant Director of the Harvard Negotiation Project. He has a BA from Hamilton College and a JD from Harvard Law School. |

Douglas Savage, Assistant Director of the Institute for World Affairs is responsible for educational partnerships and corporate relations. He also serves as producer of the International Focus TV series and coordinator of the Great Decisions program.
Previously, he served as Assistant Director of the Institute for Global Studies, a UW System faculty and curriculum development office. Prior to that, he was Midwest Regional Director of the National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce. He has also held senior positions with the National Council on US-Arab Relations and Builders for Peace, an economic development initiative created by the Clinton administration. As a consultant, he has worked for various US and Arab clients.
Mr. Savage holds a Master's Degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Chicago, and has done graduate study at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. He has taught Middle East politics in the Political Science Department at UWM.

Susan Yelich Biniecki, Assistant Director of the Institute of World Affairs, is responsible for community partnerships and creating educational resources. She also serves as the coordinator of the Global Issues Fall Series and the George F. Kennan Forum on International Issues. She has taught and developed face-to-face and on-line Think Tank courses for the Global Studies degree at UWM. Prior to her position with the Institute, she ran her own consulting business in Poland in which she developed tailor-made cross-cultural communication trainings for multi-national businesses and organizations such as the U.S. Peace Corps, UNESCO, and the Polish Army in preparation for NATO expansion. Previously, she was an educator and community developer as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Poland and an Americorps Volunteer in rural Wisconsin. She has advanced language skills in Polish and working knowledge of Croatian and Spanish. Currently a doctoral student, Ms. Yelich Biniecki earned her M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and B.A. from Ripon College. |

Rachel Schrag, Outreach Coordinator of the Institute of World Affairs, has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Expository (Business) Writing. She has been with the Center for International Education for five years. Prior to joining the Institute of World Affairs in July, she worked with CIE�s Central Administration team: assisting in facility management and supervising all program logistics and publicity. She will continue that same work with the Institute of World Affairs numerous events and will manage the membership services programs. |
