Resident Assistants for Sandburg Hall

Summary:

     UWM Sandburg Halls Resident Assistants work closely with approximately 70 residents on all aspects of student and community development; plan and implements activities, provide security, peer counseling, conflict resolution; perform crisis intervention and connect students to campus and community resources. They are committed to serving the residents of UWM by working to create an environment that facilitates personal growth and academic success.


Who is eligible?

     Any UWM student who is a current resident of Sandburg Halls and/or Purin Hall.

Benefits:

     Being an RA is a great way to meet all different types of people and make a difference in a small community. RA's will learn proficiencies that will aid them in their everyday lives. Leadership, team work, interpersonal communication, time management and program organization are just a few of the valuable skills that are developed within the program.
