Summary:

     We are a cooperative Christian outreach initiative at UW-Milwaukee. Activities include a weekly lunch open house, faith-oriented study and discussion, worship, arts-based worship, community service, and a book club. UCM operates out of a house on Kenwood Boulevard across the street from the UWM Union. It is staffed by one pastor, who is an ordained United Church of Christ minister, student interns and assistants.


Positions:

Student steering committee: This voluntary group meets twice per semester to discuss UCM's programs and vision. The steering committee is made up of students involved in two or more of UCM's regular programs. (3 hours per semester)

Student staff: UCM employs (for pay) one assistant who coordinates the lunch fellowship and assists the campus minister, and one kitchen helper for the weekly open house. (3-10 hours)

Internship program: Interns each are responsible for two of UCM's faith-oriented programs. They are paid stipend and contribute 10 hours per week. They meet each week for a staff meeting and every two weeks for reflection and discernment with the campus minister.
