In Their Own Words:

Nolan Pulkownik, LLC Member 2012-2013

"The setup of the classroom was the first thing that caught my eye.  With one glance, everything I thought I knew about a college classroom setting was shattered.  I am excited that the class is unconventional and that there are strong personalities (in the group)."

Andrew Palladino, LLC RA 2012-2013

"When I was approached to be the RA for this LLC I was so excited. The class and the experience of this has been so fantastic! I love being able to see residents build such a close community. I also love how it opens everyone up and you get to see the side of someone that you would never get to. It has been one of the best learning experiences I've ever had, but it also so much fun."

Cassie VanGompel, LLC Mentor 2012-2013

"This class really encourages thoughtful conversation between the students and leads to a close community connection for all involved."

Evelyn Ang, LLC Instructor
"I believe that in the times that challenge us, when we are experiencing life-changing transitions, there is the opportunity to see a new individual emerge.  Admittedly sometimes this emergence does not go smoothly and there is anguish, anxiety, and stress.  For the most part, we all get through it and it helps to know that no one has to do it alone.  So it is my absolute joy and privilege to witness this creative process, it is the most human thing that human beings do.  Living and learning together informs the study of Communication and Conflict, and our study helps us live together more intentionally with greater social intelligence."
