Enrollment: Selection for Lab Rats is based on an interview.
Great Choice For You If:
- You have a high school GPA of 3.0 or better
- You’re considering graduate, medical, or professional school
- You’re highly motivated and interested in taking your education into a research setting
Purpose:
The purpose of the Lab Rats LLC is to introduce a community of incoming first-year students to the culture of research at UW-Milwaukee,
and to help those students transition into a hands-on role in a faculty-led research project in a field of their interest.

- Visiting labs across campus
- Attending a research talk
- Becoming part of a research team
Required Course:
- L&S SS 291: Undergraduate Research Seminar (1 credit)
