| McCallum, Boga Set To Join Panther Program In 2009-10 |
| Ja'Rob McCallum of Marion, Ind., and Lonnie Boga of Florissant, Mo., have both signed letters of intent to play men's basketball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. McCallum, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound guard, helped Marion High School reach the Indiana Class 4A state championship game last spring. His team lost to Brownsburg, 40-39, on a buzzer-beating shot. Marion finished 24-5 last season and McCallum averaged nearly 10 points and four assists as a junior. Boga, a 6-2, 200-pound guard, is a multi-sport standout who has earned all-St. Louis area honors in football while competing as a sprinter in track at McCluer High School. He averaged 18.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game as a junior, making better than 36 percent of his three-point attempts. |

| Ticket Information For NCAA Volleyball Tourmament |
| Single-match tickets for the NCAA Volleyball Tournament match between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Illinois will be available at the door prior to Friday's contest. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Huff Hall in Champaign, Ill. Single-match tickets are $8 for reserved seats, $7 for general admission seats and $5 for students. All-session passes are also available for the event and can be purchased in advance. |

| Panthers Set To Open League Play Thursday Against Detroit |
| The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball team opens Horizon League play with a Thursday night home contest against Detroit. The Panthers (3-4) are looking to snap a three-game slide and win their league opener for the first time in the last three years. Tone Boyle (13.9 ppg) and Avery Smith (13.2 ppg) to be UWM's leading scorers. And, in spite of scoring just 46 points at Wisconsin Saturday, Milwaukee still leads the Horizon League in scoring. Meanwhile, Detroit claimed a win over Saint Louis this past weekend and is 2-3 so far under new head coach Ray McCallum. Thursday's contest tips off at 7 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Arena. |

| Jonathan Capasso of Racine, Wis., Todd Hegbloom of Pulaski, Wis., Eric Semmelhack of Oak Creek, Wis., Robert Stone of Madison, Wis., and Jayme Sukowaty of Madison, Wis., have all signed National Letters of Intent to play baseball at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, head coach Scott Doffek announced today. Capasso, Hegbloom and Semmelhack are currently seniors in high school, while Stone and Sukowaty are both sophomores at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wis. |

| Panthers Drop Heartbreaker In Double Overtime At Wisconsin, 71-69 |
| Senior Traci Edwards scored 30 points and became the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's all-time leading scorer, but it was not enough as the Panther women's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker, 71-69, to Wisconsin in two overtimes Tuesday evening at the Kohl Center. The Panthers (3-3) overcame a 16-point second-half deficit to lead late in regulation, then four points to lead in the first overtime, but it was not enough against the Badgers (6-1), which were receiving votes in the AP national poll. Edwards surpassed Maria Viall's (2000-04) all-time scoring record of 1,867 with 30 points, but her biggest shot came to tie the game at 54-54 with 4.8 seconds to play. |
