Visiting International Scholars

Korean-students-with-the-Dean-1-cropped_1We’re pleased to host visiting scholars from every corner of the globe.

Professor Myunghee Jun, from Daejon University, in Daejon, South Korea, has been in residence at the UWM College of Nursing since 2011. Dr. Jun’s research interests include nursing’s role in genetic counseling.

Dr. Lan Chen, from Xiamen Medical College, in Xiamen, China, arrived at UWM in January 2013, and plans to stay for one year.  Dr. Chen is learning about nursing education and training in the U.S., while she is in residence at UWM.

The College of Nursing hosted Dr. Chungnam Kim, from Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea, and 12 of her undergraduate nursing students, during summer 2012, for a short-term study abroad program.  The students visited Milwaukee-area hospitals, clinics, and assisted-living facilities, in order to learn about nursing care in the U.S.
