| Dr. Schiffman assumed the position of Associate Dean for Research at the CON 2003. The Associate Dean for Research provides leadership to the College of Nursing by facilitating and fostering faculty research. She serves as a member of the Dean's administrative team to enhance and further develop the research activities and accomplishments of the faculty. Dr. Shiffman assists investigators in planning programs of study and in developing applications for funding. She is also responsible for the coordination of WCNRE activities, professional staff functioning, WCNRE budget, and ongoing assessment of WCNRE services and resources. She holds an ex-officio position on the Research Committee, which acts as an Advisory Group for the WCNRE. |

| Dr. Crain worked part time in an ICU-CCU and part time in a Nursing Research Center while she worked part time on her Master's and Doctoral degrees in Austin, Texas. After a 6 year stint as an Assistant Professor, she joined WCNRE professional staff in 1991. Her primary responsibility is helping faculty get funding for their research projects. That includes searches for funding opportunities, planning applications, preparing budgets and biosketches, completing all application forms, critiquing proposals, preparing graphics and complex tables, and preparing application packets. She is also responsible for informing faculty and graduate students about research-related policies and resources. |

| Sheryl T. Kelber, MS |

| Ms. Kelber earned her degree in Mathematics at Southern Illinois University and her Master's degree in Biostatistics at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1981. She joined the professional staff in the WCNRE in 1986. Ms. Kelber's primary responsibilities are to consult with College of Nursing faculty, graduate students, and other WCNRE clients about research design and methods, data management and analysis, and interpretation/presentation of findings. Ms. Kelber also provides support for database and statistical software. |

Frank Stetzer joined
the CNRE staff as a statistician in Fall 2006. Prior to that he was
with UWM's I&MT division for 18 years as an information processing
consultant. He works with CON faculty and graduate students and teaches
the multivariate statistics seminar. His special interest is in the
management and analysis of large data sets.

| Ms. Trimborn joined the WCNRE from the College of Nursing Business Affairs office. She has been with the professional staff of the WCNRE for about 5 years. Her primary responsibilities are to provide administrative support for WCNRE, supervise student employees, support faculty research activities, and assist in the operation of the Research Committee and WCNRE related events. Ms Trimborn also provides fiscal support to multiple faculty and WCNRE outreach service agreements. |

Edward L. Rodriquez and Faye M. Spoor are based in the CON's Office of Business Affairs (BA).
Mr. Rodriguez came to UWM from Purdue University in 1999, and joined the College of Nursing in 2001. He works with investigators to manage project funding, and assists in developing reports for funding agencies. Ms. Spoor has worked at UWM since 1986, and joined BA staff in 2000. She assists investigators in recruiting and appointing project members at all levels. She handles payroll and compiles personnel reports. |
