Institute for Urban Health Partnerships: Service
The UWM Academic Community Nursing Centers

Funding

The UWM Academic Community Nursing Centers depend on a range of funding sources, including state and federal grants, contracts or grants with both the city and county, private foundation funding, and in-kind contributions from a number of partners, including the UWM College of Nursing.

Funding supports the College of Nursing’s efforts to provide health services to those who are underserved, many with no health insurance. Recent funding has been received from the following entities to support our efforts to reduce health disparities:

  • Wisconsin Well Women's Heath Program
  • St. Luke's Child Care and Resource Center
  • St. Anthony’s Foundation
  • American Cancer Society
  • Susan Komen Breast Foundation
  • Wisconsin Public Service Commission.

To Make a Donation

The Community Nursing Centers are always in need of clothing, toys, books, household items, blankets and monetary contributions to serve those most in need in the community. To make a donation, please contact the Institute for Urban Health Partnerships at 414-229-4432 or seeberg@uwm.edu.
