Employee Commuter Value Pass (CVP)
The Commuter Value Pass is a deeply-discounted annual bus pass for University faculty and staff. The pass allows for unlimited transit use on any route operated by the Milwaukee County Transit System (local routes, freeway flyer routes, festival shuttles, and special Brewers/Bucks routes).
The cost of the pass is split between the employer and the employee. Parking & Transit therefore pays for 50% of the cost of the pass. The employee's cost per month is currently $33.50. This cost may be paid via pre-tax payroll deduction.
Employees who sign up are charged on a monthly basis until June 30. There are two options to pay, 1. Payroll deduction 2. The Parking & Transit office before the start of the month. Employees may sign up at anytime, but anyone that signs up after the 2nd business day of each month is not eligible to start using the CVP until the following month.
- There will be a $10 late fee to anyone that cancels the CVP and signs up within 90 days.
- Payments must be made prior to the start of the month, failure to do so will result in a $10 fee. The exception to this is payroll deduction.
