Supplemental Instruction Review Sessions

What is Supplemental Instruction?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a program especially designed for large lecture classes. SI Leaders regularly attend class along with students in order to take notes and keep up with class discussions. Our SI Leaders then offer four (or more) review sessions each week to review course material and provide personal attention to student questions. Our Access to Success data has shown that students who regularly attend SI sessions receive higher course grades.

How do I get involved?

First, refer to the Spring 2013 Supplemental Instruction Schedule to locate your course and the available Supplemental Instruction times.

Then, reserve a spot in a weekly review session by making an appointment. An appointment reminder will be created in your PantherLink calendar with the scheduled date and time.

Finally, arrive at the review session on the date and time listed. Supplemental Instruction review sessions last 50-60 minutes, although students may leave the session at any time. Please note that dates and times may be subject to change.
