Calibrating Your Battery

In order to get the most out of your battery you must calibrate it from time to time. The first time you need to do this is the first time you start up your computer, and then about once every three months to keep it current.

To Calibrate the battery
First plug the adapter in and fully charge the battery. You will know that it is fully charged when the ring around the adapter glows green instead of amber. Once the battery has been fully charged, unplug the adapter and use your computer. When the battery gets low you will see a warning message on the screen. Continue to use your computer until it goes to sleep.

Once it has gone to sleep, plug the adapter in and let it charge fully again. Once it has a full charge the battery has been calibrated correctly and will give you the maximum time for using your computer when not plugged in.
