If you are a financial aid recipient, you can ask
for a budget increase to add the cost of your computer and software
to your financial aid package. Most students will be able to use
alternative
loans
and (Parent) PLUS loans to assist them with these costs.
To
apply for financial aid, go to www.FAFSA.ed.gov for
the most expedient processing of your application. You may request
a budget increase
to include the purchase of your computer and software. It may
or may not increase your eligibility in the Stafford Loan program.
If it does, we will increase your loan amount to include the
costs
of
this program. If you do not have any loan eligibility, you may
apply for an alternative loan or a Parent PLUS loan to assist
you in covering
these costs.
To request a budget increase you will need
to complete a Computer Loan Increase Request form. Click here to
print the
form.
To
apply for an alternative loan, click here for
a list of lenders and websites.
To
apply online for a (Parent) PLUS loan, click here after
May 15, 2005.
