Welcome to the Department of Art & Design
We are a distinguished faculty of artists, designers, and educators, an active and diverse group of more than 1,000 art and design undergraduate and graduate students, and a dedicated staff. We offer a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art; Bachelor of Fine Arts with Teacher Certification (Art Education); Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts (which enables students to combine studio courses with a double major or minor in another department), and Art and Design Minor. At the graduate level, the Department of Art & Design is committed to diverse ideas and approaches to art that foster an experimental attitude in keeping with contemporary art practice. We offer Master of Arts (MA); Master of Fine Arts (MFA); and Master of Science in Art Education (MS) degrees.
