seventh Annual Double Reed Day
Double Reed Day is open to double reed players of all ages and levels. Join the UWM Music Department's double reed faculty and your fellow players for a day of master classes, workshops and faculty and ensemble performances. The day begins with an ensemble rehersal for all participants, followed by several master classes and rehearsals. Browse the double reed vendors in the afternoon, and end the day with a recital featuring UWM faculty and the Double Reed Day Ensemble. Register early to receive your ensemble music!

REGISTRATION & FEE
The cost for early registration (through October 29, 2007) is $30. After October 29, you may register onsite at a cost of $35. (If you miss the early registration deadline, please contact Ted Soluri at tsoluri@uwm.edu to let us know you are coming.)

To register, download an application form here or contact the Peck School of the Arts Box Office at (414) 229-4308 or stop by the box office in the Zelazo Center. Box office hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 am-5 pm.

EXHIBITORS
Browse among suppliers of tools, cane, music, instruments and all things of interest to the double reed player. Vendors include: Fox oboes and bassoons, oboes and English horns from Buffet, Brass Bell Music Store, repair consultation, CD’s from Crystal Records and more!

Parking
You are encouraged to use metered street parking or the underground parking garage at the UWM Union.

Music
All music will be furnished by the UWM Band Department. Students must provide their own pencils, folding music stand, and all other necessary equipment for rehearsals.
