PhD student receives international recognition

PhD candidate Nader Sayadi was awarded a travel scholarship in June, to Kogakuin University, Tokyo, Japan, to present a lecture entitled "Preservation of the historic architecture in Iran: Kashan Historic City". In addition, his paper, “Sardar Mofakham’s Complex in Bojnord: the lost garden and buildings of the late 19th century in Iran” has been accepted at the 32nd Deutscher Orientalistentag (German Oriental Conference) or DOT 2013, the German Society for Oriental Studies at University of Münster, Germany. The conference will be held in September of this year.
Nader was also awarded an internship with US/ICOMOS (The International Council of Monuments and Sites) as part of their International Exchange Program, in collaboration with PI:N (Preservation Institute: Nantucket) in Nantucket, MA, this summer.
