Financial Support
Students admitted into the Urban Education Doctoral Program (UEDP) are eligible to compete for a variety of types of financial aid. Applicants are also eligible to apply, pending acceptance.

Graduate Assistantships The School of Education offers a number of graduate assistantships that are awarded for the upcoming academic year. For more information, and to apply for a graduate assistantship, please visit the School of Education's Graduate Assistantships page.

Graduate School FellowshipsUEDP students are also eligible to apply for Graduate School Fellowships. Please visit the Graduate School for information, and to apply, to the Distinguished Graduate Student Fellowship (DGSF), the Graduate School Dissertation Fellowship (GSDF), and the Advanced Opportunity Program Diversity (AOP) Fellowship.

Graduate Student Travel AwardStudents enrolled in the UEDP are eligible to receive awards from the Graduate School in support of travel expenses for presenting papers at national or international professional meetings or conferences, or for performing or exhibiting original work. Please visit the Graduate School for more information, and to apply.

 

Application Information:

  • You are encouraged to submit applications six months in advance of the event.
  • You may not submit an application more than six months after the event.
  • You may apply only once for a specific conference/event (e.g. the American Physical Society meeting, March 2012).
  • You are limited to two applications per academic year.
