Specializations

Each of these transcript designated specializations is departmentally or program focused, and students must satisfy the admissions and curriculum requirements indicated for that particular specialization. All graduates should have a broad understanding of the issues, problems and trends related to urban education and the application of these to their specialization. Accordingly, all students take a sequence of three urban-focused seminars as part of their major. In addition, students must develop a minor area of study in a discipline outside the major.
